I am called by this name because I look like the nighttime. I used to live in a place called Turkey and I took care of two golden girls who were just kids. I protected them and helped them find food and they depended on me. They were frightened of the people who took us to the shelter and then we heard that a lot of goldens were being picked to go to America to find new homes. My heart just sank because I knew I would lose them and since I was not a golden I would be left behind. I tried to be happy for them but it was hard. The nice lady who was getting all the dogs ready for the trip explained to the lady in America that she just couldn’t separate us. Could I go too? The answer was “absolutely”!!!! You can’t imagine how thrilled I was. When we got here I tried letting my girls be on their own but we were all so sad they put us back together again and we all crossed out paws that someone would adopt all three of us. That is hard to do but it worked! Our new mom and dad didn’t worry about taking all of us home. They just wanted to make sure they had enough toys and treats! Now we live in a place called Myrtle Beach. We have a pool if we want to learn how to swim and one day we are going to something called the “beach”. I’m not sure what that is. My little girls are not so shy now and I’m so proud of them And I can never thank everyone enough for helping us stay together It has meant everything to us. And thank you too to my sponsors Sandi and Jeffrey Berg and LuLu. You are the best! Big hugs to everyone! Star
