Sugar

My name is Sugar, and just like my name suggests, I’m a super sweet girl ready to start my next chapter.

I’m a 5-year-old English Cream Golden Retriever, about 76 pounds, and I recently retired after having my final litter of puppies. Now it’s finally my turn to be someone’s baby and experience life as a beloved family dog.

I’m a loving, social girl who enjoys being around people and soaking up attention. I have good house manners, I’m house-trained, and I even do well with cats. I ride nicely in the car and truly just want to be close to my humans.

Since much of my life was spent in a kennel, some things are still a little new to me, so I can be unsure at times. Because of that, I need another calm, confident dog in my home to help guide me and show me the ropes. A fenced yard is also important so I can safely explore and build confidence.

I don’t need a crate, and do not really like them, so I would do best in a home that does not use one. I can also jump when I am excited, so a home with no small kids or older adults would be best. It’s all part of my joyful personality — I just love being with my people!

At heart, I’m a gentle, affectionate, and very sweet girl who just needs a little patience and a lot of love to truly shine. I’m so ready to learn what it means to be part of a family. With sweet tail wags, Sugar
