Meet Surfer Pup – a 7-8 month old male golden mix whose owner’s turned him into a shelter because they were moving and couldn’t afford to keep him. Surfer is a typical puppy, he wants to be with his people, loves going for walks, chasing bugs and riding in the car. He’s a real sweetheart, is house-trained, knows a few basic commands and his coat feels like silk. When we gave him his first chew gone he was a little puzzled but eventually figured it out and loved it. His foster mom fell so in love with him she knew she had to keep him close to her heart, so Surfer has become her nephew. He has just been adopted by his foster’s sister-in-law who lives in Canada. We think that’s the furthest one of our pups has gone but he has a wonderful new home. And we knew mom was dedicated when she drove all the way down from Canada to get him. So Surfer will be living the good life with mom, propping his head on her lap, getting petted and lying at her feet. In fact, all the kids in the neighborhood are already calling him “Surfer Dude”. Now, we simply can’t wait to hear how all the Canuck pups take to a smooth southern boy like Surfer, eh?
