Sydney, a 10 year old happy golden boy, came to us after his family said the kids suddenly got allergies and banished Sydney to the back yard after shaving him. (He still has a pretty head and a big fluffy tail). The vet thought Sydney’s vocal cords had been cut because he “gurgles” and doesn’t bark or growl. Poor Sydney just wanted a loving family to please. As fate would have it, a perfect old guy, mellow and easy going, Sydney was exactly the type of dog his new family was looking for when they came to June’s adoption day. Sydney’s new mom and dad knew they wanted to adopt an older dog in memory of their beloved golden who had passed away. It was a perfect match at first pet. Sydney’s new mom is a nurse so she’s extra nurturing and takes good care of the old guy. Also, Sydney now has three children to keep him on his paws and a mini poodle named Pierre and a hamster name Hammie to play with. Fate is a funny thing, but this time it sure seemed to work in favor of Sydney and his new family.
