UPDATE: ON APRIL 19TH, TABOR HAD A MAJOR SEIZURE OR STROKE AND COULD NO LONGER WALK. HE WAS ALSO DISORIENTED AND WAS NOT RECEPTIVE TO MEDICATIONS. THIS PUP ENDURED SO MUCH AND WE CAN ONLY HOPE THAT TABOR IS FINALLY RUNNING AND PLAYING PAIN-FREE. BACKGROUND: Everything was kind scary because me and my mom and my brother got lost. AGA saved us when we were just 8 weeks old. My mom has found a home already and my brother Tabor and I have been getting stronger. We are now 4 months old and our dog doctors tell us because of poor nutrition when we were in mom’s tummy and after we were born, we have some special needs. We are “developmentally slow” and we have some physical issues. We have carpel laxity syndrome which we will grow out of with good food. But our joints are weak and just have to go slower. Here is what my foster says about me: Tabor is the sweetest boy! He loves all animals–cats and every dog he’s met. He is learning social skills and when to back off, and so far he has great manners! He loves to snuggle with his big foster-brother, Ramblin’ and foster-kitty-sister, Adrian. He respects the other cat, Dale, does NOT want to cuddle or play. He is very close to being potty-trained. He is eager to please and make his humans happy. He loves to watch his big foster-bro for guidance. He mostly needs a completely dedicated adopter. Other dogs, cats, and kids are fine, but someone totally devoted to his needs and condition is most important, even if they have no family or pets. He loves to play! He is always exploring and finding new things to do. He is pretty good about realizing what is and isn’t okay to do/play with after some suggestions from people. With plenty of toys and stimulation, he doesn’t really get into any mischief. He has mastered going up stairs–it’s awkward, but he can do it. He is struggling going down stairs, but we have been working on it. He can go down the last three now–a big improvement! The height intimidates him, so the last few are more manageable. He is a brave little boy that loves everyone! (Except his litter mate, Tito. They tussle). Could you help me please? And could someone help my mom and my brother too? Thank you very much. -Tabor Pup
