Would you look at me now! After coming to AGA when I was 8 I got adopted and at 11 found myself back at AGA because the dad who adopted me couldn’t take care of me any more. He had to travel and work too much. For a dog that means a lonely life. I was very afraid that no one would want an 11 year old but as it turned out it wasn’t “one”, it was “three” that adopted me! My new family is mostly dogs with one mom who has plenty of time for us because she doesn’t have to hardly ever work. I have two brother dogs and one sister dog. They call her the AGA “spokesdog”. I have no idea why- she hasn’t said one word since I got here. She came from a place called Turkey. I only know about the kind of Turkey that is good to eat. Mom said she’d get her very best friend to cook one for me. Mom doesn’t know what “cook” means. She mostly knows what “restaurant” means- but no dogs allowed there! I also have a pool for swimming and that’s kind of new for me but I’m getting the hang of it. Tell me you can’t teach an old dog new tricks! There are chairs to rest in and a yard with a fence and cars for riding in and lots of toys for games.. There are plenty of dog beds and windows to watch out of and see what the neighbors are doing. So, as I’ve heard it said, “it’s never too late”, just ask me! Your happy golden senior (you can’t go wrong with a senior dog!), Tank/Latte and now Finn.
