This is Teddy Bear, he is about 6 to 9 months old. When he first came to us, we named him Teddy Bare because he had no fur. He was found hanging around a picnic table outside of a company – the table where the employees would eat on nice days. They would feed him, eventually gained his trust and then asked us for help. Teddy had lost virtually all of his hair and his skin was black due to a condition called Demodex. We actually did DNA tests to help determine the best way to treat him (some drugs can be fatal for certain breeds). We also learned that Teddy has a heart murmur but that doesn’t stop him from giving love. He is gentle and sweet and finally found a family worthy of loving. He has a wonderful new mom and dad who read Teddy’s story and knew in an instant that it was meant to be. In fact, they decided to call him Bear because he is so huggable. His skin is getting better and his hair is starting to grow and we know that in time this boy will be a handsome prince. Now that his heart is happy he already feels like one – and we think that he certainly deserves to be treated like a king.
