Tigger is a 1.5 year old male golden who weighs in at 108 pounds. His previous owner moved to an apartment that didn’t allow large dogs. So we found this sweet guy a new home. When Tig, mom and dad first met there was an instant connection. Mom and dad adopted Moose from us back in 2005 and recently lost him to cancer. They needed another furry friend to make their house feel like home and Tigger was the one! Tigger loves his new home that sits on 5 acres of wooded bliss. His new friend is the family’s cat…. His first but the cat is a pro with dogs so all is well. Tig is a bit overweight and has started a slow exercise program. Initially, we were worried because it looked like he was limping or walking funny on his walks but his new terrific mom figured it out… Tigger lived his entire life in the backyard alone with no exercise. The pads on his feet were like new … (dog people call that having New Leather). Once he walked on grass and dirt, he was fine. So he is now going for short walks on pavement to break in his leather. His waistline will great the exercise he needs and his heart will get the love it needs! Sounds like the receipe for a happy golden!
