Timmy Pup is an adorable Golden mix puppy that we think is about four months old. And, yes he has one ear up and one ear down. Our vet thinks he’s mostly English Crème Golden, but we won’t know what he’s mixed with until he gets older. Whatever the other breed is, it must be large based on the size of his paws. He was turned into a shelter by a couple that found him wandering. He had a nasty broken elbow—in three places—but our wonderful vet at Russell Ridge Animal Hospital was able to save his leg and repair it. He’s now done with surgery and in his new home. His new mom and dad are a wonderful couple who lost their Sadie and Max (both well into their teens) within three weeks of each other last September. Now Timmy will help add some excitement and noise to their lives. To celebrate his new beginning Timmy also has a new name, Winston — in honor of one of the Meadows favorite historical figures, Winston Churchill. Knowing Timmy, he’ll lap up their love and care and not give a second thought to a new name (although they will transition over to the new name by calling him Winny at first). Mom and dad also have a daughter and son-in-law that live nearby with their 16-month old son, Isaac. When they met Timmy and Isaac hit it off immediately and that sealed the deal. Winston was gently playful with their delightful, giggly little boy. The Meadows are totally dedicated to continuing Winston’s rehab since mom is a RN and dad works from home most days. Winny’s life is off to a wonderful start – we can’t wait to hear stories. Here’s to you Timmy!
