Well, finally I made it to my new home. It’s been a long time coming but I needed so much help and I got it, every step of the way. You see, I have diabetes – just like people do but a dog with diabetes needs more help just like a little kid does. We need to visit our doctor and get shots and buy the medicine and tons of things that most people do not understand or want to deal with. I just KNEW there were people, somewhere, who would help me and AGA found them! From my doctors, to my fosters, to the people who drove me around, to the people who sent money to help with all my bills. I felt the most loved I’ve ever been in my life. Then when things started to settle down I knew it was time for me to get serious and find my new home. And you know what? I was home and didn’t even know it until my last foster decided I belonged with them. Now I have two sister dogs and people sisters and a grandma and even grandkids. I am the boy here and dad is very happy for that! If my family has to go someplace they even have a godmother for me to stay with while they are gone. I have to have two shots every day but nobody thinks much about that, especially since one of my people sisters has diabetes too. This Summer I learned to swim in the ocean and chase balls and have so much fun. I’m not going to think about being sick any more —- I’m just going to think about being a happy golden boy. Thank you is not enough but you all know how grateful I am to you for saving my life. Love from Toby D. (maybe that should be Toby H- for “happy”!)
