On September 21, 2013, Tommy George found the peace he needed. We hope he will no longer feel afraid and will find the love and kindness he deserves. BACKGROUND: I’m am an 8 year old boy golden and I weigh 62 pounds which isn’t too big! I am healthy and have great house manners. I have been with AGA nearly a year and I am in a boarding facility because I need to be the only dog in the house. I was found in the road on a rainy night. AGA found my owner but he wanted AGA to find me a new home because I kept digging out of the fence. You see, I used to live with a Jack Russell and he died and I was left alone in the backyard all day and night. I hated that so I would dig out to go find people. I think I got attacked by a dog or two because I don’t like some dogs now. And when I am on a leash I think it is my job to protect my walker so I bark alot.
I really want a home with a fence but I don’t want to be left outside without you. My dream home would be to live with a lady (I am a lady’s man and I am not ashamed of that)in a house with a fence. My mom would be retired and I would keep her company all the time. I would be a good host to all her friends. I love kids too. I just want to be all hers and not have to share her with another dog. I like horses and goats and llamas and ducks. When I first came to AGA, I was scared of thunderstorms and being alone and they put on some medicine but the medicine made me mad so they took me off it after they talked to my doctor. Now I can stay by myself when you go do errands and go out just fine. And as long as I have a place to hide from the storm, I am fine with that. I have to admit I am getting very stir crazy in boarding… I need to be in a home and loved. I just lay at your feet when you read or work on the computer and I am a very good gardener. If you teach me, I bet I could dig the holes and you plant the flowers. I will be your best friend. Could you come and ask to meet me? I don’t want to be alone anymore. Maybe you need me like I need you? -Tommy George
