I guess you never expected to hear from a Cocker Spaniel dog in a Golden Retriever rescue. I know it seems funny but I’m speaking for me and my best friend in the whole world who’s name is Tramp. He’s a golden boy and we are both about 8 years old. It’s a little hard for me because I’m a bit shy but I’ll do my best for my buddy who really needs some special help. I should tell you, first, that we used to live in a home together- well I mean we lived in the backyard at a house. That must be where we both got heartworms because we never had any pills each month to keep that from happening. We have good house manners so I don’t know why we had to live outside all the time. Sometimes it was very hot and sometimes cold but I guess we just thought that was the way it was supposed to be. One day I noticed that Tramp had a sore on his elbow. It kept getting bigger and bigger but no one ever took him to the doctor. I was so worried because I knew it must hurt but he didn’t complain- and it kept getting bigger. I don’t know what would have happened had he not been taken in by AGA and taken to the doctor. Besides the heartworms they found out that I had sore ears, some teeth that needed pulling and my coat was so matted they couldn’t brush it- it would have to be shaved off. All of this was nothing though compared to Tramp’s news. The big sore on his leg needed some special attention and no one is sure if it can get better. They are going to try and fix it and Tramp will have to have operations and a brace and won’t be allowed to hardly walk around at all- he has to be very quiet. Maybe then it will get better but we don’t know. We do know that it’s going to cost a lot of money to try and fix it. AGA says we are both worth being healthy again but we need a lot of people to help. Tramp says he doesn’t feel too well but they gave him some medicine to make it stop hurting so I hope he will go to sleep while I finish this. I never had to ask anyone for anything and I sure never knew how to send messages to angels but I’m hoping they can read this and help us pay the doctor because angels are the only ones that can help! Please help save me and my wonderful friend Tramp so we can be together for a long time. Thank you from Sinatra Spaniel. P.S. Did you know that if you are just a plain person you will turn into an angel when you help dogs like us? Yep- you really do! Guess what? We got angels…a whole family – Lisa Marie, Dally and their mom and dad. They are the Haralson Family and Lisa and Dally were orphans of AGA once and their mom and dad adopted them and now they live in a home where they get hugs and belly rubs and treats all the time. I hope we can meet them someday because they are very very special to us. Love, Sinatra and Tramp too!
