I got lost way over in Alabama and then I came to Atlanta. It seems like a long time ago. I remember how scared I was and how hard it was to trust people and not be afraid. The main people who helped me were my foster moms and the main dogs who helped lived with them. It was all very new to me but I knew it was not my real home and that I would be finding my very own family after I got used to people. I went to adoption day a few times and people came to meet me but nothing felt just right and I just wanted to hide behind my moms. Then one day a family came and I said to myself- OK, this not so bad- I really like the attention they are giving me. You could tell they were “dog people” and knew just what to say and do. I visited them one day and met their golden girl. She was very kind and asked me if I might like to come there and live. So her family came to visit me at my foster home and before you knew it, I had my very own, very special family with a mom and a dad and two sisters and- of course- my golden sister. I know I’ll never forget my foster moms – they gave me a whole new life and made me brave. If I ever meet a scared dog I will help them the way I was helped. Thank you everyone for this happiness.
