Here we are again, safely in our new home. I’m the 8 year old golden girl and Chuckie is my 9 year old brother Lab mix. We’ve been the dogs of a kind man who was a priest. He rescued us and raised us from puppies and we’ve always shared his home and we’ve always been together. We were a special family. One day, he tripped over Chuckie and hit his head pretty bad. The ambulance took him away and he was so distraught about leaving us. he told us he would not rest until he was sure we would be taken care of and would always be able to stay together. He really tried and it was upsetting because there was no one in his family to keep us and no dog rescue would promise to keep us together. Then one of his friends found AGA and all the problems went away when they said they would help. Our dad was so happy and because he wasn’t upset any more it was easier for him to rest peacefully. It was a sad time but he did the best thing for us and we are grateful for all the years he loved us. Now we have a new dad AND a mom and a golden sister dog. We were very proud to show them what good manners we have and what good dogs we are because that’s what our first dad taught us. We’re sure he knows we are still together and will never forget him. He promised we wouldn’t be separated and AGA promised that we would always stay together. Our new family made the promises all come true and we love them for choosing us. We can tell they are very special too. They are the angels that our first dad said would come and protect us! Much love and happiness from Trisha and Chuckie
