Tristan Rexie is a 2 year old purebred male golden retriever. He was surrendered by his family because he was unpredicable around children. Tristan is handsome and incredibly loving but we have determined that he is easily frightened – especially by men. We needed to find him a low-key home without young children and a family who will be patient and understanding with his fears. He seems to have nightmares sometimes when he sleeps hard so he have no idea what happened in his past to cause them. He spent some time at Canine Assistants to work with a trainer and now he is busy making a smooth transition into his new home. Tristan was adopted by a wonderful family and their Collie, Francie. They lost their beloved Golden suddenly over New Year’s weekend, and their hearts were empty and they needed a Golden to help ease their pain. Tristan is just the guy to do that! He is an active, sweet 2 year old who will keep them entertained and be a great companion for Francie who was missing her brother very much. Francie is now teaching Tristan the rules of going to the office every day with mom and dad…use your office voice and no squeaky toys at the office! But there are lots and lots of squeaky toys to be played with at home in Roswell and at his new beach house! Oh, and Tristan’s family is building a home in North Carolina too, so before you know it, this Golden boy will be frolicking on the beach and hiking in the mountains. This boy’s life is going to be perfect!
