Tucker, the one year old male golden who came to us still very much a pup, has a new home! Tucker was found as a stray about a month ago. We think he may have been mistreated because he was very sensitive around his neck and shoulders. He didn’t like to share toys or food which means he had to fend for himself in his past. But these days Tucker is getting treated like a true prince and enjoying every minute of it. Tucker has a wonderful new mom and dad and a 13 year old girl, whose room he gets to share, to care for. His new family has had goldens in the past so they know just how to treat Tucker, with lots of love and attention. They came to us after their last golden retriever, who they had rescued at 3 years old, died of kidney failure. The family has always had golden retrievers and knew they would need to find another dog to fill that cherished spot in their hearts. Tucker was the boy for them. An energetic guy, Tucker loves to play ball with dad and can’t wait to go on one of the many family camping trips. Tucker shares his new home with a 3 year old bunny and a 5 year old cockatiel but he doesn’t mind. Tucker knows he will never have to fight for his next meal. Today, with a loving family and all the affection he could ask for, Tucker is living the golden dream and he will never be alone again.
