This is Vinny, a 5 year old purebred male golden. His story and his eyes will break your heart. Vinny has been with the same family since he was a puppy. He has been a good family dog. He has some allergies (and he has been shaved in this photo)but that doesn’t matter because he is a nice, trained dog. He is good with other dogs if they don’t attack him and he is good with cats if they don’t run from him. A few weeks ago, Vinny had a seizure which scared his parents and they decided they couldn’t keep Vinny and risk that he would have another seizure in front of the children and they could get bit if they were near him. So we have taken Vinny and had several tests done and haven’t found anything wrong with him. His tests have all come back negative. He has NOT had another seizure, however, there is a chance he may have epilepsy which can be controlled through medication and Vinny can live a normal life. However, the vets do not want to put him on seizure meds until such time that he has a few others. Sometimes, stress can bring them on too. So, Vinny needs a home where he will be loved and if he is epileptic, his family can deal with it. Vinny is very sad right now but we know he will come around when he meets his new family. Vinny is not sad anymore. He wormed his way right into his foster family’s hearts and will not be going anywhere. Vinny fell in love with his fosters from the very start and they fell equally in love with him. No more sad eyes or sad days for this sweet boy. We’ve found a family dedicated to him no matter what the future brings! And the funny part – Vinny acts like he has lived with his foster family his whole life. This love was certainly meant to be!
