UPDATE: TODAY, WE DISCOVERED THAT WALKER HAD CANCER AND WAS IN EXTREME PAIN. WE DECIDED NOT TO WAKE HIM UP FROM THE TESTS HE ENDURED TODAY. HE COULD NO LONGER WALK ON ONE LEG AND THIS HANDSOME GENTLE GOLDEN DESERVED BETTER. WE THANK HIS WONDERFUL FOSTER FAMILIES FOR GIVING HIM LOVE AND DIGNITY IN HIS LAST MONTHS. Background: Walker was found walking the streets of Dunwoody. A wonderful family saw him and coaxed him to come to them. He was in pretty bad shape. The vet believes he has been on his own for about 6 months! His nails were so long, he could hardly walk. Plus, he has a bad limp and was in obvious pain. He is emaciated. He is also deaf. His age is estimated to be about 10 years old. The kind family who stopped to help Walker paid for some of his medical treatment but Walker needs more tests and will have to have special care for some time. We have established the Walker Fund in his name. Please consider giving a few dollars for his care. And, please consider fostering this guy when he gets to leave the vet. We hear he is woofing his food down today — and he has started to wag his tail. We will never know his story but we will know his future. It will be one full of love. Please go to the ‘CHIP IN’page and make a donation to the Chase Fund and mark it for “Walker”.
