Howdy everyone- I was called “Wally” and I was a handsome boy about a year old. I was nearly all, mostly Golden Retriever with some nifty white trim on my coat. I was healthy, happy and ready for a new home. I had ended up in one of those places for lost dogs and no one came to get me-except AGA. I applied for a position as an orphan and what do you know? They said, “Come on down, Wally”—–you’re in! The best “deal” I ever made in my young life!. I was made for fun like running and catching a ball and maybe hiking. I went to a foster home and while there met some great families. We drove to Athens to meet one family that me and my foster dad really liked. We met again at adoption day and they took me home right then. Below is my update I sent my foster dad: Hey everyone! First I would like to thank AGA and my foster dad for helping me find my new home! I just love my new place! (wag wag wag!) I have a new golden brother (a former AGA dog named Mr. Snuggles) and a Dad, a Mom, a human sister, and two human brothers at this place they call college. My new grandmother likes to come over and spoil me with attention! My new family would like to let everyone know how well behaved I am! (wag wag wag!) I am almost perfect on a leash (until I see a new friend… because everyone is a friend), I sit and lay down on command, come when called, and go straight into my comfy crate when it’s feeding time. I like to play with fleece toys and play fetch all by myself in the big basement. (wag wag wag!) I roll on my back and wiggle and sometimes stick my whole snout in my water bowl to blow bubbles. Dad thinks I should work out in the tomatoes with him. I’d be so good at watering the plants because I slurp my water everywhere! I am super curious and happy! I wag wag wag all the time! And I enjoy my four mile walks every day. By the end of the day, I am super sleepy and curl up at the side of the bed on special rugs just for me! AGA and my new family drools… errrr RULES!
