UPDATE: WE UNFORTUNATELY LOST WARREN. THIS WONDERFUL SOUL WAS VERY DISTRESSED. HIS VET BELIEVED WARREN WAS SUFFERING FROM A BRAIN TUMOR. HE HAD BECOME VERY UNPREDICTABLE. WARREN RELIED ON US TO TAKE CARE OF HIM AND WE DID UNTIL THE END. WE KNOW HE IS RUNNING CHASING BUTTERFLIES AND PLAYING WITH ALL THOSE WONDERFUL GOLDENS WHO CROSSED THE RAINBOW BRIDGE BEFORE HIM. BACKGROUND: Warren is a senior male purebred golden retriever who looks to be about 9 years. He was found as a stray near Warren Wilson College in North Carolina. We were asked by another golden rescue to take him because they were overloaded with senior dogs. We were too but we knew we can find handsome Warren a home. But before that could happen, we need to get Warren well and say goodbye to his heartworms. Well, thanks to a wonderful couple, Andrew and Lauren, they are gone! Now he is living the good life in his permanent foster home! Sadly, Warren’s kidneys are not in good shape so we just decided rather than adopt him out we would just leave him be and let him live out his remaining time being spoiled and loved by one of our wonderful foster families – it’s his time to be spoiled!
