Meet Willow, a sweet little 10 month old female golden retriever puppy. A young couple would go on their evening walks and she would suddenly appear and follow them. After 3 nights of the same, they realized she must be lost. They took her to their local animal shelter, no one came looking for her so the shelter contacted us. An urgent request went out to our volunteers and one of our long standing volunteers somehow talked the senior partner in her law firm to drive well over 100 miles to rescue this sweet girl! Now, who says lawyers don’t have hearts! After a short stay and great progress in her foster home, Willow came down with Parvo and ended up with a life threatening complication that caused her intestines to fold up on themselves like a telescope and she needed immediate abdominal surgery to save her life. Thanks to some pretty special transport volunteers, Willow is now alive, well and happy to be soaking up lots of love and affection in her new home. Mom and dad are previously AGA adopters, so they know all about the love of a rescue dog. It’s completely unconditional, as if they know that they were saved, chosen and deemed extra special by their people. Her new family recently lost their beloved Annie golden and needed to hear the pitter patter of golden feet to make their house feel like home again. Dad works full time and mom is a nurse who works part time. Mom knows just how to give this little furry girl the love and attention she needs and deserves. Of course, dad will spoil her too. In addition, she’ll have 4 year old and 2 year old human siblings vying for her attention as well. Willow is going to live the life and now the only people she’ll be following will be her loved ones.
