Winn Dixie is a male golden doodle estimated to be 2-4 years old. He came to us from a rescue in Alabama who knew we would have more people wanting doodles in Atlanta than in Alabama. He is a super dog – gentle, good with other dogs, and, aside from a slight case of heart worms, pretty perfect. So we helped Winn Dixie with the heart worms and found him a wonderful family with 2 other dogs and a mom who spoils her pups rotten. Winn Dixie’s new forever mom is a true dog lover with a heart of gold. She lost her husband a few years ago and her dogs are her life. Winn Dixie joins Ladysmith, a 14 year old golden retriever mix and Siddy, a 6 year old boxer/rottweiler mix, who were also rescue dogs. Siddy was adopted a returned numerous times and Ladysmith had severe separation anxiety before mom took them in. Now they are both wonderfully adjusted and well behaved girls. Winn Dixie got in good. He and the girls go on long walks every morning and get to play at the horse farm where mom keeps a horse. So much for sweet home Alabama, apparently Georgia’s is the place to be!
