Fenway (Golden Retriever) and Wrigley (Bichon mix?) are best friends who were found in the middle of a busy highway. A kind lady pulled over to get them in her car and out of harms way. She took them to her vet to have them scanned for microchips and they were chipped! When they tracked down the owner something very sad happened. They said they had given the pair away over a year ago. When asked who the new owners were they claimed they could not remember and they did not want the pair back. So the lady posted them on Craig’s List looking for the owners and one of our volunteers saw them. When we really saw them together, we knew we couldn’t separate them after they were obviously dumped together. The wonderful rescuer absolutely loved them and would have keep them if she didn’t already have 4 pets of her own. But hey that’s okay, because now these two have a loving home of their own. Their new home is perfect for them! They have a stay at home mom – along with a dad who’s going to wish he could stay at home with these two. They also have 3 human siblings, ages 16, 14, and 12. They will be the only furry critters of the household and with 5 humans to love them there will be plenty of spoils to go around! No more wandering the streets for these two – they finally have a safe and warm place to lay their heads.
